I've got two sisters, a BIL, a daughter, and one neice, so the immediate family isn't too bad. My mom's the younest of 11, so when it coms time for family reunions it gets pretty crazy, but I love it!

It's pretty easy to look down your noses at something that you don't understand. Pete, I know you're an intelligent guy, obviously you choose not to understand.

This will probably fall of deaf ears, but here goes...

Introverts need alone recovery time. It's not about liking or disliking people, it's about how much you can physically and mentally tolerate before needing some solitary recovery.

Attending an evening with the family is never an issue, but having out of town guests staying can be very taxing to an introvert. It can lead to anxiety, stress and even physical ailments. Did you ever wonder why forced solitary confinement is considered a punishment in just about every country on earth? Most people lean toward extroverted tendencies and thrive on social interaction. I doubt even an introvert would resort to the extreme of solitary confinement, but it's an example I hope will get my point across. It's a rather bigoted move for you to criticize people just because they don't conform to your view of the norm. In addition, criticizing a group of like-minded friends for joking about their introvertedness is awfully petty, it doesn't make you any bigger, and certainly doesn't make you a better person.

I responded to this because whether you meant it or not, your post did insult me directly.
